–        Otoscopy: We will show you your own ear through a screen to verify that there are no impediments or anomalies (such as earwax blockage…) that could hinder, interfere with, or need to be taken into account for a proper hearing examination.

–        Impedance Testing: (tympanometry and stapedial reflex study): Objective tests, completely painless and harmless. It allows us to assess the condition of your middle ear as well as your ear’s response to loud sounds. This information will help us obtain a more complete test and gain important insights into your hearing status.

–        Pure Tone Audiometry: We will conduct a hearing test by placing headphones to evaluate your hearing capacity at different frequencies, as well as the audiometric status of your auditory nerve. This will help us determine whether or not there is a hearing loss and, if so, quantify it.

–        Speech Audiometry: Equally important as pure tone audiometry. In this case, we will not use tones but words. This test allows us to assess your word comprehension ability at different volumes. We determine the percentage of word comprehension in your hearing to select the most suitable hearing aid or hearing solution. This test often reflects what many people report, “I can hear but I don’t understand,” and our goal is to achieve maximum comprehension and auditory comfort.

–        Suprathreshold Tests: These tests allow us to assess sensitivity, auditory fatigue, and other factors that can influence your satisfaction with your hearing aids.

–        Objective Tests: We have a team of auditory evoked potentials that allows us to evaluate your auditory pathway from the moment sound enters your ear canal to the brain. It is a painless test in which, in a relaxed state, we can record information related to your hearing using stimuli and electrodes. It is also very useful for people with communication difficulties or impairments.

–        In-Situ Test: Once we have completed the tests, we will demonstrate to you how your hearing loss can be corrected, allowing you to hear how you would with your hearing solution. We can also visually show the difference with and without hearing assistance to both you and your companion, giving them the option to hear it as well. This way, we work comprehensively, considering the people around you who can empathize with your hearing.
